CRUCIAL!!

haha so i just said i wasn't amazed by nothing recently in terms of music to everyone on here, then i hit up my boy, Crucial's myspace page and heard the first track on there Chase Us. SHIT WAS DOPE!!


Now, homeboy Crucial is an 18 year old Cape Verdean rapper outta Boston, MA living in Rhode Island.
If you know me, then you know that I have a HUGE family, with cousins from Norway to Cape Verde to fuckin Kentucky.
Crucial just happens to be one of the many haha.
He's been compared to Drake and Kid Cudi by some on other blogs (yeah yeah my cuz is on the come up ahaha) and his production skills are definitely on point as well...

So, Fam dropped a mixtape with his boy Dyme-A-Duzin, who is nice as well, called Lights Out Mixtape which i been bumpin since i downloaded it. Tracks like Gotta Get it and Dear Eversince (Can't Let You Go) show the talent this kid has..Spittin over beats by hi-Tek to his own, this is definitely something to hear...

So im sittin at home, scannin the net tryna find some music i missed out on from 2008

and i've got a bunch of hip hop albums i missed out on, so i decided to look for new r&b stuff.


and i came upon this woman with a GREAT voice. Adele, based outta London. she's got a classic soul sounding voice, and it has got me stuck on this album, 19. She calls her music Heartbroken Soul...how dope is that?!
i'm prolly mad late on this joint, cuz apparently she's had a single out for a minute, but i never pursued it. Chasing Pavements anybody?

Aiiight ladies n gents, time to get my first official post in here...

so i'm finally done with finals. happy as hell about that. Break has begun and i'll post a lil more often now...oh yeah shout outs to Stacey aka S.Dot aka The Rock's Finest lmfao

so as i was studying, i was throwing on some older tracks I was jammin to freshman year and came across Mr. J. Medeiros.




So, for those who ain't familiar with dude, he was part of the group, The Procussions, who've dropped 3 albums, one of which is pretty dope, called 5 Sparrows for Two Cents in 2006.



So in '07 J decided drop a solo joint called Of Gods and Girls which was freakin crazy in my eyes. That album is sooo ill! and those beats are fire! There's a lil jazzy feel to it, like Constance which is the true story about a 13 year old Filipino girl who's a victim to human trafficking and rape...serious ass story there. but some joints, like Keep Pace just go hard as hell in regards to the beat. He's what most hip hop heads would prolly call a backpacker and a conscious cat.





He sounds like Zack De La Rocha of the infamous rock group Rage Against the Machine... and matter fact, the first time i heard his voice, I actually thought my boy Zack was back in the game and rappin. I was wrong. but I was pleasantly surprised to hear Medeiros' music. Shit was like a breath of fresh air. Still is, too. This albums definitely back in my rotation.

My name is Stefano. Nobody really calls me S-Diggy. I just couldn't think of a user name at the time. I guess it works. cuz i have no choice.

But yeah im a Junior (?) at Boston College, from around the way (Boston to Canton)and i'm 21 in like 9 months and it sucks...current age doesn't matter its all about september 15, 2009 baby. I'm a jackass, a goofball, and sometimes a dickhead. makes for good conversation, trust me.

I'm what most people label a hip hop head. i try to listen to everything but hip hop has a hold on my heart.

Most of my posts are gonna be about music. some shit miiight be venting if I'm pushed to the limit, but I don't usually put all my shit out there.
the other stuff i talk about gonna range from race relations to stupid videos to anything else i see/hear that seems mildly entertaining.
